The Southport Oak Island Interchurch Fellowship recognizes that individuals may sometimes face unusual circumstances that disrupt their ability to pay monthly or recurring bills, including but not limited to rent, electricity, water, sewer, or medical expenses. The Human Needs Program is grounded in the philosophy of offering a “hand up” to those in need.
Residents of the following communities are eligible to call and request assistance, which is available once every six months:
